Linda Jean Cameron passed away quietly and unexpectedly Monday, February 11, 2019. Dearest wife of Glenn Cameron, loving birth mother of Justin (Sarah) Brogni and proud grandmother of Marissa and Tressa Brogni, Linda was a devoted caregiver to Murphy and Rusty, her beloved animals. Preceded in death by her father, Roland W. Brown, Linda was the dear daughter of Doreen Donnelly Brown, much loved sister of Kristin (Andrew) Cmeyla, Karol (James) Cink, and brother James R. Brown. Linda is further survived by her nephews Matthew Ignatiev, Peter (Jessica) Ignatiev, Bryan Cink, and nieces Emily Ignatiev (Nick) Fuchs and Rachel Cink, her Aunt Mary (Ron) Muchenberger, Uncle Patrick (Judy) Donnelly and many grandnieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Linda grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin and graduated from Greenfield High School. She was a member of the Civil Air Patrol Squadron #5 at General Mitchell Field’s 440th for over 30 years, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and making lifelong friends. A part of the Big Brother Big Sister program in Milwaukee, Linda worked for the Lamer’s Bus company for over 25 years where she drove a small bus for special needs children who she loved and cared for deeply. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, delight in telling stories and somewhat wicked sense of humor. She deeply loved her friends and family and all things Irish.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at St Alphonsus Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, Wisconsin at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 30th, to be followed by a luncheon at Meyer’s Restaurant, 4260 S. 76th St., Greenfield , WI., at noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society in Linda’s name.
